Costume Details
Since Mona is one of my favourite Genshin Impact characters, I knew I just had to make this gorgeous Bride Mona design by Princess Ailish! Although this cosplay doesn’t appear complicated, it does have many delicate details and confusing structures. The construction primarily involves:
Gold details all 3D modelled in Fusion360 and resin printed by me
Fabrics including glitter organza, stretch velvet and silk dupion
Gold trim made from 2mm EVA foam and gold stretch spandex from Cosplay Fabrics
I first wore this costume on my photoshoot trip to Vienna in early 2022. I had the opportunity to shoot it in a beautiful studio setting with my wonderfully talented photographer friend Malimoria and Bambilashesdesign who cosplayed Bride Kokomi, also made by her (go check out her sewing work, it’s incredible)! I wore it again to Katsucon in February 2023 where I was involved in another Genshin bride group and photoshoot. The studio was again beautiful, and so were all of the cosplayers!
